GOOD and BAD ABSTRACT SCULPTURES
The moral dilemma between The BAD and The GOOD is chosen to develop a formal work within the poetics or traditions of the formal abstraction.Working with a group of children, it was exposed a set of different situations that relate to the bad and negative actions or feelings. On a second talk the children were exposed to the positive and the good side of actions or behaviors.
On a later session paper clips were given to the same group of children asking them to model two different forms, one meaning GOOD and another meaning BAD. They were asked not to do anything figurative but a more intuitive shape.Ten of these miniature sculptures were enlarged to an adult scale, taking the form of quasi-eclectical 70’ public sculptures. They were fabricated with stailess steel tubular material and place each of them and a metal disc.
